About Me

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Political Science at the University of Pisa, Italy and Visiting Researcher at CIRCLE at Lund University in Sweden. I completed my PhD in Economics at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Italy, and I was a PhD Visiting Fellow at UNU-MERIT in the Netherlands.

I hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Policies, and Management of Innovation from the Metropolitan Autonomous University in Mexico, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Matanzas, Cuba.

From 2010 to 2023, I served as a Research Fellow at the Research Center of the World Economy (CIEM) in Cuba. Additionally, I was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Havana, where I taught International Economic Relations.

I am a member of the Scientific Board of LALICS, the Latin American and Caribbean chapter of the Global Network for the Economics of Learning, Innovation, and Competence-Building Systems (GLOBELICS).

My primary research interests include the Economics of Innovation, Sustainable Development, and International Political Economy. As a consultant, I have collaborated on projects with various United Nations agencies such as UNIDO, ECLAC, and UNDP. Additionally, I have a keen interest in R and social network analysis.
